C047 Sigma Orange # 7

Picked up 5 of these rare cars in a couple of scrapyards a while back, although they were all various stages of disrepair, with warped chassis and bodies, and not even a complete car amongst all the bits and pieces. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a complete SCX version of the identical car from my mate Peter, and was able to make resin copies of all the external removable bits. Only 2 of the wrecks had motors, but fortunately for me, both motors worked, so was able to get 2 of them up and running fairly easily (eventually, after months of moulding, casting, preparing, painting and assembly). Will probably end up fitting in J111 or Mabuchi motors to the remaining wrecks when I get around to fixing them up as well. Cars are very low and very wide, and with the heavy RX motor in actually handle very well, although not particularly fast. Was very happy with the end results though of a couple months of piecemeal restoration work.
