This is a conversion/restoration project I did for a fellow collector. It came with the standard tinted windows and no driver platform.
I tried unsuccessfully to remove the windscreen without damaging it, but it was just too solidly glued in. Fortunately, I picked up another similar Eldon Mustang body and had a little more luck extracting it.
Luckily all the glue was on the middle of the roof, so in the end I was just able to grind away enough of the top section to remove it without damaging any visible part of the window. I then cleaned and polished it up and moulded it so I could make copies for both bdoies.
I also used my own cast copy of the Eldon Charger driver platform (and I am happy to sell copies of both). I think having clear windows and a driver platform really finishes a car off.
The body was in good condition apart from the rear arches, so didn't need a repaint, and I made all my own decals.
The chasis is a PCS 32 chassis from Pendles, and it runs really well, not sure what the wheels are from as they were just a spare set I picked up somewhere, but don't know what car they were off, but seemd to suit the gold body better than silver or chrome.
