This is a restoration job I undertook for a fellow collector. It started as just a body, with missing headlights. Picked up and collection of old strombecker chassis, and was able to fix one up and fit a scalextric J111 motor to it (as the mabuchis were too thick and the wrong shape to easily adapt. Was able to modify dome other headlights to suit, then detailed up the driver and added decals to finish it off. Is a real sweet runner, as the J111 motor suits the light strombecker body, and I haven;t had to add any weight to get it to handle.
