This is my new (second hand) permanent timber 2 lane track. Its approximately 6.3m x 1.5m 1.2m, and is also on wheels, so can be moved around if needed. The track was kindly donated to me by my mate and fellow collector Peter, who was no longer getting the use out of it that it deserved. The track is a dream to drive around, with two long straights and consistent radii corners. Its vary fast and free flowing, but still has a few challenging areas. It came to me without buildings, but all the landscaping and wiring up done. I added driver stations to make it easier plug and unplug different OHM controllers, and to switch driections easily. I have slowly added my own buildings and figures to the layout, most of them restored or built from scratch (I do make resin copies of many racing figures). I have also started adding track lighting, but haven't got very far. Its powered by a 10amp variable power supply, which provides plenty of power for both lanes and the lighting, lets me slow it down if I ever let my grandchildren play on it.
