2 Lane Large Fast Track with Double Intersection

This is a very large and fast 2 lane circuit, with an extra long double straight (13 long), a very large radius 3/4 circle and a douible intersection. This has been designed for a large open space, such as a two car garage, with the straights running disgonally across the area to maximise their length. This is a great track for your faster cars, and really allows you to let them rip. Unfortunately, if you have very old track like mine, its impossible to get a perfectly flat surface, and so mine is prone to the odd sudden de-slotting on the main straight-aways, when running flat out. The large radius bend is achieved using 1/2 straights between each outer curve, but its not a perfectly smooth corner of course, so the effect is not quite as nice as I though it could be. I was hoping to be able to develop a long controlled slide all the way through, but the cars tend to wiggle a little as they go from curve to straight and back to curve, so you don't get as smooth a turn as I'd hoped. Still, its a bit different, and its certainly fast. The double intersection makes for some fun, but unless you want to risk damaging your cars, I'd advise you to place these near curves like I have, to reduce the speed at which the cars are likely to hit, if you are designing your own tracks.

Unfortunately I cannot find any pics of the actual track itself. Not sure if I have lost them, or didn't take any to begin with. If I do find any eventually, I will put them up on this page.

The fastest magnatraction car on this circuit was a Black Lamborghini Diablo, in 11.557 seconds. The non-magnatraction cars were not far behind, with a Ford 3L in 11.839, being the best of them. Shows you how fast this track is compared to the smaller tighter tracks, as the times are only 2 seconds slower than the medium sized two lane track depicted on this site, even though its much longer.
