I was fortunate enough to pick up this rare beauty from France via ebay. The postage cost was more than what the car cost, but that was still very good value overall (under $40) with a Ford xr2i included as well. Unfortunately it had been very badly painted black, and after removing the paint, discovered that it had discoloured the paintwork in places. That was the primary reason for repainting it another colour, although I had planned to paint one or two of them anyway, as the car was only released in white (how boring). Will eventually repaint one of the other 917's in Gulf colours.
