This is an original Mexican Scalextric C40 Chaparral. It was a bit of a mess when I got it, but I was able to restore it quite nicely, making repro copies of missing parts (the wing, rear panel and air intakes) from a complete car I borrowed (thanks Pete!). I have replaced the standard tyres with some repro tyres made for other spanish cars with very wide rims and channels, and the handling improved out of sight as these tyres have a much lower profile and are wider than the standard ones, so it lowered the CoG considerably, as well as increasing grip levels.
